The Jury 2014
Oliver Brand, Christina Niederer, Kerstin Polte, René Schöneberger
is a film maker from Biel/ Bienne. He started with acting, then turned his passionate hobby into his profession at the London Film Academy. He now lives in Zurich, where he produces commercials for big and small companies, music videos, animation films and trailers in the cultural sector with his company BRANDpictures.
CHRISTINA NIEDERER
is interested in everything to do with text, image and sound. She is co-founder and organiser of the film festival “Pink Panorama” in Lucerne. In the 20 minute long film “Selbstmatt” (1997) she was responsible for the storyboard and the camera. Since 1987 she has been operating her own company, ARTick, FotoGrafik Kultur & Seitensprung.
KERSTIN POLTE
studied script writing, film directing, literature, theatre, media art and philosophy in Québec, Karlsruhe and Zurich. For years she has been writing and creating short and long features and documentaries, plays and mini series, and has been invited to show her films at over 150 international film festivals (in Locarno amongst others). Her first long documentary, “Kein Zickenfox”, has its world premiere at Pink Apple this year. Kerstin Polte lives in Berlin, where she works as a freelance author and film director.
RENÉ SCHÖNENBERGER
from Wil/ SG was employed as a cameraman directly after graduating from high school. He mainly works for Swiss Television and various private production companies both in the fields of information and entertainment. He also regularly creates short films and music videos for young Swiss directors.
